Why this page exists
Compliance is part of why a brand should use Huuddle, not a footer afterthought. This page explains how data actually moves through a campaign today, and what we do not yet do in product.
The campaign data flow
1. The brand writes a campaign brief in Ad Manager, including the consent copy, the named brand, and the fields to collect. 2. Publishers run a native opt-in unit. The consumer opts in to that named advertiser, not to a generic list. 3. Huuddle receives the record, checks required fields, and records time, campaign and publisher. 4. Accepted records are delivered to the brand's CRM destination (a configured webhook), ready for the brand's welcome flow. 5. After handover the brand is the controller of that subscriber relationship.
Lawful basis
Subscriber data is processed so the named brand can contact people who opted in on a publisher placement. Consent is specific to the brand and the communication type described in the unit (typically email, and optionally other channels where the campaign asks for them).
What we record today
On receipt: date and time, campaign, supplying publisher, and the submitted fields that passed validation. We keep an accept/reject log for operational audit. We do not currently store IP address, source-page URL or a snapshot of the exact consent wording in a downloadable compliance centre, and we do not currently de-duplicate against the brand's existing CRM file.
First-party, not rented
The subscriber is collected for the advertiser, named at the point of opt-in, and delivered into the advertiser's own CRM. Huuddle is the plumbing between publisher and brand. We do not keep that audience to rent back to you.
Data subject rights
Brand clients are responsible for handling rights requests for subscribers in their CRM. Huuddle will help with requests that relate to data we still hold. Email privacy@huuddle.com.
ICO registration
Mostly Media Europe Ltd's ICO registration application is currently being processed. We will publish the registration number here when it is issued. We do not currently have a number to quote.
